Statement
My work bridges analog and digital image making, combining traditional photographic methods with post-digital and mixed-media practices. Incorporating techniques like tintypes and Polaroid transfers alongside painting and other non-photographic and generative processes, I create works that evoke contemplation and stillness in an increasingly fast-paced era. Photography, for me, is a "great exhale"—a deliberate act of witnessing the unfolding environment.
As an observer of life, I explore the interplay between interdependence and individuality: the solitude of personal narratives within the shared rhythms of existence. My work examines humanity's embodied presence and its entanglement with the natural world, uncovering patterns of coexistence, disruption, and resonance.
Through this lens, I construct reflective spaces where viewers can consider their place within life's intricate web. My work invites contemplation of how, in this era of modernity, humanity's shared existence intertwines with the constructs shaped over time—both natural and man-made—continuously redefining the rhythms of our collective experience.
